Hi, I'm Tim Howard.
I started developing the MCR program in August 2001 while studying Computer Science at Strayer University. Originally asked to create some computerized forms of questions for Examiners to ask as they reviewed loan file documents, I realized that this would be much more beneficial as a database which could store responses, perform calculations, and alter the questions being asked based on responses to previous questions. As I worked with the dedicated folks at the DLLR office in Baltimore to incorporate everything they needed into this one program, the project grew exponentially. Over the years I learned many new skills, and squeezed more functionality out of the underlying database program than it was designed for. Finally in January 2005, after years of improving and testing, improving and testing, and more improving and testing, the program was put into use full-time at the DLLR. My company, T.B. Howard & Associates, LLC (or TBHA) owns the program and copyrights.
My toughest and most rewarding work though, is foster parenting. I've been parenting special needs children for several years now, all boys ranging in age from 9 to 17. Some needed emergency short-term help and were only with me for a few weeks, some were with me long enough to take a piece of my heart with them when they left, and some are with me long-term. I adopted one of my boys this summer, and have started the adoption process for another. I usually have 4 boys living at home, but have 9 boys who I call my sons (and who call me Dad). Apparently, troubled adolescent boys don't grow up easily, or voluntarily. It's definitely the toughest job I've ever had- and I was in the military! It's also easily the most rewarding job I've ever had. A look, a single word, or a hug can erase hours worth of grief in a moment. Just like that. If you have the patience, and want to make a difference, please become a foster parent. Otherwise, buy my program so I can do more for my foster children (shameless!).
